“I sought the Lord, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears”
(Psalm 34:4

Let us seek the Lord together this day. Let us offer up our fears and doubts, that we may go forth strengthened and empowered for another week. May the Holy Spirit help each of us to love, adore, and worship Him – our great Savior.

With your presence, Lord, our Head and Savior,
bless them all we humbly pray.
Our dear heavenly father’s love and favor
be their comfort every day.
May God’s spirit now in each proceeding
favor them with his most gracious leading
thus, shall they be truly blessed both in labor and in rest.

Let us Pray

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven.

Give us today our daily bread.

Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.

Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil.

For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen

Gracious and Merciful God, we bless you at all times. We magnify your holy name and exalt your goodness forever. Help us seek you that you may find us and deliver us from all our fears.

In your Holy Name we pray.
Amen

Jesus Christ, our High Priest, is holy, blameless, and undefiled. However, we cannot say the same for ourselves. Let us us confess our shortcomings before God and one another.

Merciful God, today we will journey with a story about a person who would not take “no” for an answer.

When he was denied justice, he had faith in your goodness.

When he was told to shut up, he remained stubborn.

When he was marginalized, he trusted in Jesus’ power

Forgive us for the moments when we have not had such courage.

Forgive us when we have failed to insist on justice, especially when justice has been denied to
those other than ourselves.

May we demand mercy in the midst of suffering.

Give us the faith to see clearly our calling to take heart, get up, and follow you. Amen

Sisters and Brothers, let us receive the assurance of pardon:
Take heart, get up, for Jesus is calling. We have been forgiven of our sins and are being called
iinto a new creation.
Alleluia! Amen.

God of all Wisdom, open our eyes that we may see clearly the wisdom of the Word that is before
us. May our new sight lead us to get up and follow you.
Amen.

Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian,
Lift up your voice and sing
Eternal hallelujahs
To Jesus Christ the King!
The Hope of all who seek Him,
The Help of all who find,
None other is so loving,
So good and kind.
