There is a name I love to hear,
I love to sing its worth;
It sounds like music in my ear,
The sweetest name on earth.
O how I love Jesus,
O how I love Jesus,
O how I love Jesus,
Because He first loved me!
It tells me of a Savior’s love,
Who died to set me free;
It tells me of His precious blood,
The sinner’s perfect plea.

Creator God, we bow in humble adoration of your mighty power and constant presence. We are thankful that, without discrimination, you have created all races and peoples in your image.
We are grateful that each day you are enabling your people to recognize our rightful place in your creation.
Is not this the kind of worship that pleases me, says our God: to undo the bonds of injustice, to let the oppressed go free and break every yoke, to share bread with the hungry and shelter the homeless poor, to clothe the naked and not turn from your own people? I was hungry and you fed me, thirsty and you gave me a drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, sick or in prison and you visited me.
When did we see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you a stranger and welcome you, naked and clothe you, sick or in prison and visit you?
Truly, I say to you, when you did it to one of the least of these, you did it to me.If you do away with the yoke, clenched fist, the wicked word if you give your bread to the hungry and relief to the oppressed, then your light will rise like the dawn, your goodness will go before you and the glory of God behind you.

Our God says:
Here is my servant whom I strengthen, the one I have chosen, with whom I am pleased.
I have filled him with my spirit,and he will bring justice to every nation.
He will not lose hope or courage,he will establish justice on the earth.
He will teach us what he wants us to do.
We will walk in the parts of his chosen.
He will settle disputes among the nations,he will arbitrate for many peoples.
We will beat our swords into plowshares and our spares into pruning hooks.

Nations will not lift up sword against nation,neither will they learn war anymore.
We will live in peace, and no one will make us afraid.
Justice will roll down like waters,and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream and the effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness will be quietness and trust forever.
We will abide in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.
We will live in peace, and no one will make us afraid.

Gracious God, contrary to your divine plan, racism, as an ideology, continues to be pervasive and divisive in this world. In many places, Blacks and other people of color are still considered
and treated as an inferior race. We pray that your liberating power will set us free from such racism. Guide the government at every level and with your love that shows no favoritism, open the hearts of those who are hardened by hate. Give hope to those who are at the end of their rope today and for those who mourn the loss of loved ones because of this evil in our land, grant them comfort and peace. Amen.
