Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword;
His truth is marching on.
We are urged to live a life worthy of the calling that we have received.
To be completely humble, gentle, and patient – bearing one another in
love.
In addition to these virtues, we are called to make every effort to keep the
unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace
Forgive us Lord when we have ignored this calling and followed our
own paths. Your cross has made us worthy.
Help us accept each other as Christ accepted us;
teach us as sister, brother, each person to embrace.
Be present, Lord, among us and bring us to believe we are ourselves accepted, and meant to love and live.
Let your acceptance change us; so that we may be moved in living situations to do the truth in love; to practice your acceptance until we know by heart that the table of forgiveness, and laughter’s healing art.
There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when
you were called.
There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism. There is one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
We are the living and dynamic body of Christ knit together in our diversity to do wondrous things in His service.
Church of God, elect and glorious, holy nation, chosen race, called as God’s own special people, royal priests and heirs of grace.
Know the purpose of your calling, show to all his mighty deeds, tell of love which knows no limits, grace that meets all human needs.
God has called you out of darkness into his most marvelous light, brought his truth to life within you turned your blindness into sight.
Let your light so shine around you that God’s name is glorified, and all find fresh hope and purpose in Christ Jesus crucified.
To each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it.
It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to
be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers so as to prepare
God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be
built up.
Until we all reach unity in the faith, and in the knowledge of the Son of
God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of
Christ.
Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves,
and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the
cunning and craftiness of the world its deceitful scheming.
Now let us be united and let our song be heard.
Now let us be a vessel for God’s redeeming word.
We are all one in mission, we all one in call,
our varied gifts united by Christ, the Lord of all
Go now in peace and have courage. Hold fast to that which is good, return
no one evil for evil, Strengthen the faint hearted, support the weak, help
the suffering, and honor all people. Love and serve the Lord your God
rejoicing in the power of the Holy Spirit.
And the blessing of God Almighty, the Blessed Savior, and the Holy
Spirit be with you and abide in you both now and forever. Amen

Congregation Watchword for the Year
Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not
give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and
do not let it be afraid.”
