Mercy there was great, and grace was free;

Pardon there was multiplied to me;

There my burdened soul found liberty at Calvary.

The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth.
As for me, in the multitude of Thy loving-kindness will I come into Thy house; in Thy favor will I worship.

Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever; a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Thy kingdom.Lord, who shall sojourn in Thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in Thy holy hill?
He who walks uprightly, and works in righteousness, and speaks truth in his heart.

O Lord, rebuke us not in Thine anger.
We have transgressed and rebelled;
O Lord, chasten us not in Thy hot displeasure.
Remember not the sins of our youth, nor our transgressions.

But have mercy upon us, O God, according to Thy loving-kindness.
It is of Thy mercies that we are not consumed,
Because Thy compassions fail not.

Restore unto us the joy of Thy salvation,
And renew a steadfast spirit within us.
Lead us, O Lord, in Thy righteousness, and guide us in Thy truth.
For Thou art the God of our salvation.

And renew a steadfast spirit within us.
Lead us, O Lord, in Thy righteousness, and guide us in Thy truth.
For Thou art the God of our salvation.
Thus saith the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the Lord your God Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you in the way you should go. O that you had hearkened to my commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.

The ways of the Lord are right, and the just shall walk in them: but transgressors shall fail therein.From the sin of unbelief, from all defilement of the flesh and spirit, from all self-righteousness,from every neglect of our duty, from all ingratitude and selfishness, from lukewarmness in our love to Thee and our neighbor, from indifference to Thy meritorious life and death,
Deliver us, gracious Lord and God.

And you, beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit; keep yourselves in the love of God; wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
The mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon those who fear Him, and His righteousness unto children’s children, to those who keep His covenant, and remember His commandments to do them.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for as much as you know that your labor is not in vail in the Lord. And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, you shall receive an unfading crown of glory.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Now unto Him Who is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God, our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever.
Amen.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Gracious God, we need you every hour, especially in times of great temptation. May we turn to you, Lord, to fill us with your peace, rather than our filling ourselves with things that tempt us and test our strength. Lord, please be close during these times of struggle, for it is you who strengthens us during our times of need. In your Son’s holy name, we pray. Amen
