Almighty and gracious God, you have made yourself known to us in a multitude of ways, and in each of those ways invites us to respond to you with grateful hearts.
You have been present with us even before our thoughts and words and feelings ever turned toward you.
You created us in your own image, redeemed us with your love, and have always sustained us with your grace.
When we think of you gracious God, we think of your compassion and tender mercies toward us all, and we are humbled with gratitude.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto Him and bless His name.
For the Lord is good: His mercy is everlasting: and His truth endures to all generations.
All your works shall praise you, O Lord, and your saints shall bless you.
They shall abundantly utter the memory of your great goodness and sing of your righteousness.
Let the people praise you, O God; let all the people praise you.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
The Lord said in His heart: while the earth remains, seed-time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night, shall not cease.
Has He said, and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken, and shall He not make it good?
He prepares rain for the earth, and makes it soft with showers, and blesses the springing thereof.
He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, and herbs for the service of human, that he may bring forth food out of the earth.
Let us fear the Lord our God, who gives us the former and latter rain in its season, and reserves unto us the appointed weeks of harvest.
O Lord, how manifold are your works! In wisdom have you made them all: the earth is full of your riches.
The mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear Him; and his righteousness unto children’s children.
To such as keep His covenant, and to those who remember His commandments to do them.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.
He has chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love.
Labor not for the meat that perishes, but for that which endures unto everlasting life, which the Son of Man shall give unto you.
For He has said: I am the Bread of Life. He that comes to me shall never hunger, and he that believes in me shall never thirst.
Everyone that thirsts, come to the waters, and the one who has no money; come, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. The spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come.’
And let the one who hears, say, ‘Come,’
And let one that is thirsty, come.
And whosoever will, let the person take of the water of life freely.
Watchword for the Week:
Jesus asked, “But who do you say that I am?”. Mark 8:29
Today’s Watchword:
When you have eaten your fill, take care that you do not forget the Lord. Deuteronomy 6 :11-12
Doctrinal Text:
Jesus said, “Very truly, I tell you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven.” John 6:32
Prayer for today:
Glorious God, thank you for giving us your one and only Son. We will not hunger or thirst, for our lives are satisfied with knowing Jesus as our “Bread of Life.” May we forever give you thanks when we sit down to have a meal. This we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
